:: Conditions of Use
By definition under the Singapore Law of Contract, any agreement between Nanyang Educational Consultancy, its tutors and/or students/parents/guardians, be it written or verbally conversed, once accepted, shall be deemed to be legally binding among all parties. Upon registration with Nanyang Educational Consultancy, all parties are deemed to have read through, fully understood, accepted and shall be legally bounded to all the listed Terms & Conditions. These Terms & Conditions may be revised as and when the management of Nanyang Educational Consultancy deemed necessary. All parties are bound by any such revisions and should therefore periodically visit this page to review the then current Terms & Conditions to which they are bound.
 
:: Engagement

All Tutors of Nanyang Educational Consultancy are expected to :

  • express a sense of professionalism and commitment towards all their assignments.
  • bring along with them the originals of their certificates on the first lesson and present them to the students/parents/guardians for verification.
  • not fail to turn up for the first lesson or terminate the assignment without informing Nanyang Educational Consultancy. Should that happen, the tutor will be blacklisted in the system.
  • arrive punctually for lessons and inform the students/parents/guardians at least 12 hours in advance should they wish to postpone or cancel the lesson.

All Students of Nanyang Educational Consultancy are expected to :

  • give a fair chance to the tutors they are assigned to familiarise themselves to the other party before making any decision to terminate the assignment.
  • be punctual for lessons and inform the tutors at least 12 hours in advance should they wish to postpone or cancel the lesson.
  • inform Nanyang Educational Consultancy should they wish to terminate the assignment and the reason for their decision.

Note : Nanyang Educational Consultancy will follow up on the progress of all its students and access its tutors through a grading system every few months.

 
: : Payment of Commission

Commission paid to Nanyang Educational Consultancy shall be deemed to be 50% of the first month's tuition fees. (i.e. fees for 2 lessons for an assignment of 4 lessons a month/fees for 4 lessons for an assignment of 8 lessons a month)

If the assignment is terminated before the one month timeline, Nanyang Educational Consultancy shall collect the total fee payable. If it were the tutor who terminated the assignment, the total fee payable will be treated as administrative charges. If it were the student/parent/guardian who terminated the assignment, the tutor will share half of the total fee payable with Nanyang Educational Consultancy.

Arrangements will be made to collect the commissions due to Nanyang Educational Consultancy at the end of the second week of the commencement of lessons.

 
: : Fraudulent Practices

Nanyang Educational Consultancy takes a very serious outlook upon such cases and will not hesitate to call it to the attention of the authorities should the occasion arise. Fraudulent practices shall be deemed to include the following:

  • Fraudulent declaration of qualifications or personal data.
  • Changing of duration and/or frequency of tuition lessons and/or tuition fees without the knowledge of Nanyang Educational Consultancy.
  • Collaboration between the tutor and students/parents/guardians to by-pass Nanyang Educational Consultancy
  • Refusal to pay the commissions due to Nanyang Educational Consultancy.

Although Nanyang Educational Consultancy tries to ensure that its tutors are all carefully screened, Nanyang Educational Consultancy will not be held responsible under any circumstances for any injury incurred by any living organism including, but not limited to lost of life of a human being, permanent disability, major or minor injuries etc.

Nanyang Educational Consultancy will also not be held responsible for any lost or damaged of property that is incurred as a result of using the service provided by Nanyang Educational Consultancy.
